Psychotherapist  | Researcher

In 2014 I was working as a kindergarten teacher at a Montessori school when I realized that my passion for helping others wasn't being satisfied in the education field. On a whim, I applied for a position as a residential counselor at a psychiatric rehabilitation program, which ultimately changed my career path.

Working with clients who struggle with severe mental illnesses (SMI) such as schizophrenia (SZ), schizoaffective disorder (SZA), and bipolar disorder (BD) drove me to seek a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling so I could further help these populations as a licensed clinician.

I found that I thrive on empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Today I am a practicing therapist and a research associate working under Dr. Robert M. Post, the founder and director of the Bipolar Collaborative Network.

With over 50 years of expertise in bipolar disorder research, Dr. Post's work inspires my commitment to advancing the academic study and clinical treatment of mood and psychotic disorders through dedicated research and writing.
