ABOUT
A Decade of Listening.
My name is Katrín, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and clinical researcher. I help adults navigate bipolar disorder, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and trauma/PTSD.

Katrín I. Kutluçinar, MA, LCPC, LPC
In 2014, I was working as a kindergarten teacher at a Montessori school when I realized that my passion for helping others was not being fully fulfilled within the field of education. Although I valued working with children and supporting their growth, I found myself wanting to make a deeper impact in people's lives.
On a whim, I applied for a position as a residential counselor at a psychiatric rehabilitation program — a decision that ultimately changed the course of my career. That role pulled me toward a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so I could further help these populations as a licensed clinician.
Through these experiences, I discovered that I thrive on helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. Today I work as both a practicing therapist and a research associate under Dr. Robert M. Post, MD founder and director of the Bipolar Collaborative Network.
My sessions can be empowering and challenging, yet comfortable—and, at times, humorous. I work best with people who are tired of feeling unseen.
