ABOUT
A Decade of Listening.
My name is Katrín, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Researcher. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults living with bipolar disorder, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and trauma-related conditions, including PTSD.
I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your thoughts, emotions, or experiences seem to be working against you. Whether you are struggling with mood swings, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you make sense of what you're going through and find a path forward.
Using evidence-based treatments tailored to your unique needs, I help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, build resilience, and create lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in both compassion and science. Together, we'll work toward greater stability, confidence, healing, and a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and hopeful.

Katrín I. Kutluçinar, MA, LCPC, LPC
In 2014, I was working as a kindergarten teacher at a Montessori school when I realized that my passion for helping others was not being fulfilled in the field of education. Although I valued working with children and supporting their growth, I found myself wanting to make a deeper impact on people's lives.
On a whim, I applied for a position as a residential counselor at a psychiatric rehabilitation program—a decision that ultimately changed the course of my career. That role pulled me toward a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so I could further help these populations as a licensed clinician.
Through these experiences, I discovered that I thrive on helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. Today, I am a licensed therapist with You First Health Systems and a research associate under Dr. Robert M. Post, MD, founder and director of the Bipolar Collaborative Network.
My sessions can be empowering and challenging, yet grounded in warmth, safety, and genuine connection. I work best with people who are tired of feeling unseen, misunderstood, or dismissed and are looking for a space where they can be fully heard, understood, and supported as they move toward healing and lasting change.
